Sheridan Maine is collaborating with our London-based client to hire a Senior Financial Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company with numerous benefits.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Financial Accountant will include:

  • General financial accounting for the company and related entities
  • Month-end process, including all adjusting journals
  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
  • Support partnership accounting (current accounts, tax reserves, capital accounts)
  • Aid in daily cash flow monitoring and general treasury functions
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review month-end bank reconciliations
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Submit annual P11D information to tax accountants
  • Conduct WIP and receivables ledger reviews
  • Coordinate year-end audit for the company and related entities
  • Complete surveys and benchmarking processes

 
The successful Senior Financial Accountant will require the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role within a professional services firm
  • Proven expertise in financial accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and enhance a robust financial control environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Flexible work approach with the ability to use initiative and work independently when needed
  • Commitment to personal development, learning, and growth
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations
  • Familiarity with SRA Accounts rules is advantageous but not essential
