This role involves overseeing all aspects of establishing a new Asian street food restaurant, including site selection, construction team recruitment, and the grand opening. The company, a leading European supplier of Asian foods, offers a salary of up to £55,000 plus excellent benefits. Candidates must possess fluent Mandarin and English, along with a minimum of five years' experience in restaurant or hotel chain development and real estate negotiation skills.

Unusual and exciting role for a MANDARIN speaker with experience in RESTAURANT Construction and fit-out. This is a most unusual role in which you will get involved in every aspect of establishing a new Asian food restaurant. The company is a food manufacturer and they have branched out into restaurants that serve simple-but-delicious Asian street-style food that is proving so popular at the moment . In this role you will do everything from choosing the restaurant site, to selecting the construction team that will build the restaurant and then arranging the grand opening . It’s a wonderful role with lots of variety and lots of autonomy.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in restaurant or hotel chain development is essential
COMPANY DETAILS : you will be working with one of Europe’s leading suppliers and manufacturers of Asian and oriental foods. The company is stable, well established and global operating in 19 countries. They supply tofu products, hot pot base pastes, buns and dumplings amongst many other foods to supermarkets/restaurants/wholesalers . They have now expanded are now opening their own successful Asian restaurants , taking advantage of the greater sophistication around different culinary experiences .
ROLE: Full responsibility for the opening of a London-based restaurant from site selection to arranging the grand opening! This is an exciting opportunity for the right person
DUTIES: Identify-Agree-Negotiate-Build and then open the restaurant !
1. Identify the new restaurant site

Look at restaurant related consumer data, identify high-potential cities and commercial zones such as shopping malls, residential areas, transport hubs
Create the business case for a particular site (checking ROI, payback period, and revenue per sqm)2. Agree on Site Acquisition & working with landlords

Select the site
Negotiating key lease/purchase terms (rent, rent-free period, property conditions) with landlords
Liaise with the legal team to create the contract
BIDS Management: manage the bidding process around construction of the restaurant
Review and approve store design plans
Liaise with supply chain team re the delivery of equipment, furniture etc4. Open the restaurant

Lead the acquisition of necessary licenses and approvals (e.g. fire safety inspection, food safety certification)REQUIREMENTS

Fluent Mandarin & English
5+ years of experience in restaurant or hotel chain development
Experience in full cycle restaurant fit out and construction
Real estate negotiation skills
