About the role
As Head of Warehouse, you will lead the strategic development and transformation of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for delivering the IAG Cargo Operations business plan, driving innovation, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in modernising our operational capabilities, enhancing service delivery, and positioning the warehouse as a centre of excellence within the global cargo network
What you’ll do
Single point of accountability for the operational management of freight handled by IAG Cargo
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a long-term vision for warehouse operations aligned with IAG Cargo’s strategy.
Operational Excellence: Lead the transformation of warehouse processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
Innovation & Automation: Champion the adoption of new technologies, automation, and digital tools to future-proof operations.
Performance Management: Deliver against KPIs for service quality, cost efficiency, and operational reliability.
Customer-Centric Culture: Ensure exceptional service delivery and rapid service recovery, enhancing the customer experience.
People Development: Build and nurture high-performing teams through coaching, development, and inclusive leadership.
Change Management: Lead change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder engagement across all levels.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain rigorous standards in health, safety, security, and customs compliance.
Crisis & Contingency Planning: Act as a key member of the Crisis Management Team, ensuring robust response plans are in place.
Data-Driven Operations: Utilize data analytics and digital dashboards to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive proactive decision-making.
Manage relationships with third-party airline partners, ensuring freight is handled to the highest standards and service expectations are consistently met.

Strategic thinking with a strong operational mindset
Proven ability to lead transformation and change
Expertise in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement
Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
Decisive leadership in high-pressure environments
Analytical and data-driven decision-making
Skills and Experience:
Track record of managing large industrial teams in a lean environment
Demonstrated success in driving operational development and innovation
Complete and effective recovery of operational problems
Knowledge and application of Health, Safety and Security legislation (advantageous)
Cargo/Airline Operations experience (desirable)
Manufacturing Operations Experience where Lean/ Continuous improvement was deployed
Experience with large-scale facility transitions or expansions
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms
Experience in unionised environments and industrial relations
