Kier Transportation is seeking Winter drivers to join their team in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. This fixed-term, zero-hour contract runs until April 2025 and offers flexible working hours with a pay rate of £21.84 per hour. Responsibilities include driving gritting vehicles and maintaining road safety during adverse winter conditions. Applicants must hold a current HGV licence and CPC accreditation. – Call out & weather dependant Salary : £21.84 per hour
– Weekly pay Standby of £16.38 per shift Monday to Friday / £32.76 per shift Saturday and Sunday What will you be responsible for? As a Winter driver, you’ll be working within the Maintenance team, supporting them in key essential works, driving gritting vehicles to spread salt onto the roads during colder days and nights, keeping the UK’s roads moving.

Your day to day will include: Driving a gritter vehicle Fitting a snow plough during adverse weather conditions Maintaining relevant driver and vehicle records What are we looking for?
