Are you ready to lead a committed team to deliver holistic, high-quality palliative and end of life care, alongside other supportive services?

Do you want to see creative ideas grow into services that meet the needs of people with life limiting illnesses and their carers?

Teesside Hospice, a highly regarded organisation that operates across South Tees and North Yorkshire is seeking a Director of Nursing and Quality, reporting to the CEO, to lead its current services and work with the Clinical Development Director to create new initiatives that meet the needs of the community.

The Clinical Team currently provides hospice care for people in the onsite In-Patient Unit, Lymphoedema clinic, Wellbeing and Bereavement Support hubs, and in the community. Other services to meet the needs of our community are being considered in the context of our new strategy, which was implemented in April 2025 and focusses on delivering excellence and reaching more people with more services.

The hospice was rated “Good” by CQC at its last inspection and is ambitious to achieve better results at its next review.

We require an experienced leader who can fulfil the role of Registered Manager, preferably with experience of end-of-life care provision – but this is not essential – and who can work with the CEO to enhance and deliver our strategic vision for the clinical services.

We can offer a competitive salary, generous benefits, flexible working and a commitment to your personal development.

People are at our core. We offer a supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth and development and are always aiming for the highest standards and working environment. Our teams work positively together, collaborating to ensure our patients get the best care, and staff enjoy a fulfilling career knowing they make a real difference in people’s lives.

Our values are Compassionate, Skilled, Accountable, Trustworthy and Principled – working here means being part of a community that focuses on empathy, respect and teamwork. We’re there for everyone who needs us and are on a mission to change the way society and healthcare systems care for people.

Join us at Teesside Hospice and be part of a place where your skills and compassion can truly shine.
