We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our SCAPE team in Glasgow. 

 

Location: Glasgow, Scotland, Hybrid working available

Contract: Full Time, Permanent 

 

The Q.S role will be aligned with our Regional Scottish business and will sit within the team committed to delivering the SCAPE Framework, this means that the individual will be involved in a wide range if projects that can range in value from £1M – £10M , being exposed to both pre construction and delivery phase commercial management.

 

What will you be responsible for?

 

  • Ensuring the contractual control and cost management of projects across the Education and Healthcare sectors
  • Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery
  • Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement and be involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome.
  • Assessing contract risk and work with the delivery team to develop and manage mitigation plans.

 

What are we looking for?

This role Senior Quantity Surveyor (SCAPE) is great if you: 

  • Have experience of both JCT and NEC contract conditions.
  • Are degree qualified within a relevant discipline and be able to evidence your commercial and contractual understanding of construction projects.
  • Have experience operating within the Main Contracting environment in the commercial function.
  • Have Experience of or the aptitude to work on schemes valued between £1m – £10m as the commercial lead.
