HGV Class 1 Driver (AM Shift)

The role involves working as part of the transport team at Stericycle's Transfer Station in Ilkeston, focusing on the collection, movement, and unloading of healthcare waste from hospitals. The driver will operate Class 1 vehicles, serve as the main customer contact, and handle relevant documentation. Candidates are required to have a Class 1 Licence, Full Driver CPC, and preferably an ADR certificate. You’ll be working as part of our busy and valued transport team at our Transfer Station in Ilkeston, where you’ll be involved with the safe and timely collection, movement and unloading of healthcare waste from hospitals on a designated route. Driving our Fleet of Class 1 vehicles, you’ll be the key point of customer contact, completing all associated paperwork and relevant documentation via a hand-held terminal.
*Shifts Available: *Sunday – Thursday (start time – 4am) or working 5days over 7days*.*
*Preferably with ADR – However, training will be provided where necessary.*
*Requirements:*
* Relevant driving experience and Class 1 License (with C+E entitlement), as well as a Full Driver CPC and Digi Card, preferably linked to an ADR certificate – packages 6.1/ 6.2
* The ability to undertake heavy lifting and physically demanding work, involving the safe movement of large, wheeled units on and off vehicles
* A willingness to go that ‘extra mile’ for our customers, along with the confidence to interact with them at all levels.
