We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join and help lead our newly opened nursery in Hemel Hempstead. About the Role:
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality care and education for all children. You’ll be responsible for managing and mentoring staff, maintaining compliance with EYFS standards, and helping create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Nursery Manager in daily operations and leadership

Lead, motivate, and manage staff, including rota planning and performance reviews

Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are always followed

Build strong partnerships with parents and carers

Contribute to the planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum

Step up as Manager when required
Requirements:

Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education

Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursery or childcare setting

Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted regulations

Excellent communication and team leadership skills

Ideally based locally to Hemel Hempstead or surrounding areas
