Are you an experienced Operations Technician ready for your next challenge? We’re working with a leading client in the nuclear sector who’s looking for someone just like you to join their team on a contract basis at the Dounreay site. If you’re safety-focused, technically skilled, and ready to make a real impact this could be the perfect fit.
What will I be doing?
You’ll operate a range of plant equipment, including forklifts (up to 48Te), telehandlers, tractors, and trailers to keep operations moving smoothly.
Be ready to upskill with Terberg Shuntmaster training as part of your development on site.
From vehicle checks and pre-use inspections to defect reporting, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining safe and reliable operations.
You’ll handle waste transport, prepare and distribute approved waste containers, and take on a variety of logistics-related tasks that keep the site running.
Through operational monitoring and routine checks including fire and emergency systems, you’ll help spot issues early and support safety across the board.
What do I need to succeed?
Already hold Security Clearance? Great! That’s essential for this role.
You should be comfortable operating forklifts and other heavy plant machinery.
From routine checks to the unexpected, you understand how to handle vehicle operations safely and efficiently.
You’re great at spotting issues early through thorough inspections and accurate defect reporting.
You’ll need to cover the cost of Drugs & Alcohol testing and a DBS check before getting started on site.
