Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Job Description
We are proud to be supporting this highly successful and expanding division of a global organisation in finding a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team.
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance activities at a Water Treatment plant and on a huge range of Large scale mobile water treatment units.
Essential duties and responsibility will include:
- On-going maintenance of a large Ion Exchange water treatment plant
- Leading maintenance projects and coordinating the maintenance team
- Fulfilment of facility maintenance tasks
- Refurbishment and fabrication of company parts and specific equipment
- Fault finding, installing and maintaining instrumentation through preventative maintenance (pressure, temperature, flow and level)
- Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the site’s DCS/ Control systems
- Complete testing of electrical circuits and panels, ensuring they are safe and legally compliant
- Create and use Safety Risk Assessments and comply with the requirements
- Following general EHS standards and suggest possible improvements
- Participate in LEAN/ KAIZEN activities on the shop floor
- Supporting with regular 5s housekeeping activities on site
Required experience/ qualifications:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and working to 415V equipment
- Ideally NVQ in Electrical based units /City & Guilds level 3 in electrical installations
- City and Guilds 2391 – Electrical testing and inspection
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages
- Experience in industrial electrical works
- Proven record of EHS and Quality awareness
You will also have experience of refurbishment/fabrication of parts and equipment, with the ability to work individually and alongside qualified fitters, fabricators and welders
