U-educate are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Primary Teacher to join a SEN Primary School in Southampton from January 2024.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, specialising in teaching Special Educational Needs (SEN) students. As well as a strong commitment to safeguarding, the successful applicant must also have the ability to plan effectively and organise resources.

The school in Southampton is a SEN specialist primary school who caters for students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties) and Autism (ASC).

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of different subjects, including mathematics, English, Science and History, to primary school SEN students. They must be patient, flexible and committed to creating an engaging learning environment and motivating students. The successful applicant will also need to have excellent team working skills, and experience working with a range of stakeholders, such as parents, carers and other professionals.

The successful candidate should have a teaching qualification and an excellent understanding of the SEN framework. They should also have experience and skills in, or the ability to develop, differentiated teaching approaches.

In return, we can offer the successful candidate the opportunity to join a team of dedicated professionals and to develop their skills and experience in the teaching of SEN. Advanced ICT skills and an understanding of intervention teaching techniques are desired but not essential.
