SENIOR/QUANTITY SURVEYOR – MAIN CONTRACTOR

 

LOCATION: SOUTH ESSEX

ROLE: Senior/Quantity Surveyor

LOCATION: South Essex

SALARY: £60,000 – £80,000 + Package

BUSINESS TYPE: Main Contractor

PROJECTS: Sub £5m – Education/Healthcare/Social Housing Regeneration

About Our Client:

They have been established nearly 20 years and undertake a variety projects from schools to listed buildings. Projects tend to be sub £5m with the core being £500k to £3m. The business is always building its client base and retaining those who they deliver for.

 

The Role:

Due to an increase in workload, this business require additional commercial resource. You could be an experience Quantity Surveyor who has maybe covered a few smaller projects at a time, from start to finish or an establish Senior Quantity Surveyor who can manage a greater workload or larger projects. You will be responsible for the full commercial aspects from start to finish, including monthly CVR’s and final accounts. You will need experience in similar sized projects and demonstrated you have been responsible for projects at all stages.

 

The Applicant:

The ideal candidate must have:

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on projects sub £5m
• Experience working for a Main Contractor
• Experience working on similar projects, education, healthcare etc
• Strong contract knowledge, mainly JCT
• Further related education such as a Quantity Surveying degree

 

It is desirable to have:

• Knowledge of Schedule of Rates
• Strong relationships with sub-contractors
