We are supporting this rapidly expanding client in sourcing a Quality Engineer to work in the Stansted area, on a 12 month Fixed term contract. 

As a Quality Engineer, you will be well verse in working with scientific/medical equipment. You will ideally have experience working with elements for electron scanning microscopes and similar equipment.

You will need to be able to stand alone in this position and will be working closely with the Technical Director and Production Manager on purchasing of new equipment that is fit for purpose.

The role will include designing the process and, validating and commissioning of the new equipment.

You will be providing collaborative support to the quality system leadership to assure the compliance with all quality policies, procedures and practices through consistent application of sound quality engineering/assurance principles.

Essential duties and responsibility will include:

• QA review of design transfer
• Establishing effective validation and planning activities
• Identifying and validating processes according to established validation, design control and regulatory submission plans
• Establishing and maintaining through change control effective product and process control and regulatory submission plans.
• Establishing and maintaining, through change control, effective product and process control plans and FMEAS.
• Establishing effective SPEC mechanisms where appropriate
• Providing appropriate training as an output of validation, control planning and FMEAs.
• Establishing effective SPEC mechanisms where appropriate

• Establishing product and process capability reporting and improvement plans
• Reviewing submission, NCP and CAPA and PMS reports for evidence of recurring product or process Quality issues and establish effective improvement plans.
• Reviewing of significant product or process change submissions.
• Liaison, where required with customers and suppliers on quality engineering activities

This 12 month FTC is offering a salary up to 80K dependent upon your expertise and experience. 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays, pension and opportunity for health and well-being benefits.

There is an opportunity that this FTC may be extended or turn into a permanent role.
