Finance Controller

Salary circa 55-65k dependent on skills and experience

Full time – 8pm – 4.30pm daily

Office based – Hull HU7 3AP

Purpose of the role

The Finance Controller will control the finance function of the business and produce accurate, timely monthly management accounts and weekly forecasting. The successful candidate will be the main contact for any reporting and data requirements.

The ideal person will be a qualified accountant with excellent IT skills and people management experience.

The Finance Controller will also manage the finance administrator who looks after all bookkeeping and some outsourced credit control currently.

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:-

• Ensure integrity of financial data supplied by finance team to other areas of the business
• Provide commercial insight and analysis of results, identifying underlying trends and challenging the business on performance.
• Production of accurate and timely management reports (including Management Accounts by working day 4)
• Take ownership of budgeting & forecasting in the business including cash flow forecasting
• Identifying process enhancements for discussion with key stakeholders
• Oversight of Banking activity
• Liaison with external auditors & other external partners
• Maintaining statutory compliance (e.g. HMRC)

Personal Specification

Qualifications – Essential

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)

Relevant experience

• 2 years post qualification experience in a similar role
• Great team player with people management experience
• Project management – desirable
• Financial forecasting – desirable
