Our client are looking to expand their team in their busy Marlow office. We are recruiting on their behalf, for an E-Commerce Business Development Manager.

The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in our dynamic team, focusing on the growth and retention of clients within our thriving E-commerce sector.

Your primary responsibility will be to strategically engage with clients acquired by our New Business team, nurturing them into repeat bookers.

You’ll collaborate closely with the E-commerce client services team, ensuring a seamless transition for ongoing account management. By reducing one-time bookers and working alongside the new business team, directed by the Director of Commercial, you’ll actively contribute to minimising churn and maximising revenue for Leafletdrop.

This position will allow you to embark on an exciting journey as our E-commerce Business Development Manager, leveraging your expertise in the SME marketplace and outstanding customer service to promote Leafletdrop.

This dynamic opportunity comes with the added bonus of an uncapped commission structure.

In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the growth and success of our Leafletdrop platform. Your core responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Cultivating repeat bookings by engaging with 100 lapsed and current clients per week.
  • Collaborating with e-commerce sales for optimal service.
  • Supporting new business efforts for client base expansion.
  • Creating compelling and relevant copy with marketing and the Director of Commercial for repeat bookings.
  • Conducting weekly outreach to at least 50 contacts.
  • Researching and building relationships within the selected target companies to learn more about the decision-making process an how they evaluate the success of the campaigns.
  • Effectively handling objections and negotiating within agreed parameters.
  • Identifying opportunities for growing high-potential clients.
  • Utilising HubSpot daily for logging and extracting information.
  • Ensure margins are appropriate to maximise profitability and to compete effectively in the marketplace.
  •  Demonstrate excellent product knowledge of Leafletdrop
  • Be able to discuss the companies capabilities clearly and concisely internally and externally.

Essential Criteria: E-commerce Business Development Manager:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in B2B selling; ideally in selling to SMEs.
  • A self-motivated person who can work independently towards a team goal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Proactive in problem-solving 
  • Excellent team player 
  • Self-starter with a drive to perform to a consistently high standard 
  • Consistent positive outlook and ability to handle rejections.
  • Customer-focused – strives to deliver high standards of customer service personally and through a team of people
  • Persuasive and adequately robust in pursuit of sales, with the ability to close the sale.
  • IT literate –MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
