The role involves preparing financial statements, managing audits, and liaising with tax specialists. We offer innovative and flexible apartment solutions in prime urban locations across Europe. Numa is the owner of a portfolio in the UK, Native, acquired through a recent acquisition. Initially, 100% of the Group Accountant role will be focused on the Native portfolio.

As we continue our expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Group Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in London.

The Role:

Reporting to the Numa Group Director of Finance & Senior Native Group accountant, the Group Accountant will play a crucial role in managing our UK financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the broader group finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:
    • Prepare and manage financial statements for Numa’s UK entities in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
    • Ensure UK-GAAP and IFRS adjustments prepared between UK-GAAP and IFRS to support group consolidation efforts.
    • Ensure all UK statutory reporting requirements are met accurately and on time.
  • Audit Management:
    • Manage together with the Numa Group Director of Finance & Senior Native Group accountant the annual financial statement audit(s) for UK entities, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
    • Prepare audit schedules, provide supporting documentation, and address auditor queries independently and efficiently.
  • Tax Compliance Support:
    • Act as the key liaison between Numa and external tax specialists for UK Corporate Income Tax (CIT) filings, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required information.
    • Assist with other UK tax compliance requirements as needed.
  • Collaboration & Intercompany:
    • Perform regular intercompany reconciliations with other Numa Group entities. Ensure all intercompany recharges are properly reflected.
    • Directly cooperate with the numa Group Director of Finance especially in coordination on the financial statement audits and group consolidation.
    • Collaborate closely with the local finance team for Native.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement improvements to existing financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ad-hoc Projects:
    • Support the wider finance team on various ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualifications:
    • Professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is a strong preference or at least significant experience with audits and auditors.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a fast-paced, international environment.
    • Strong knowledge and practical application of both UK GAAP and IFRS.

Demonstrable audit experience is essential. Candidates with a background from a Big Four accounting firm or similar reputable audit practice are highly preferred
