As a Coach Driver on our National Express network, you’ll play a key role in delivering a safe, reliable, and comfortable journey to passengers across the country. Whether you’re driving long-distance or regional routes, you’ll be the face of our service – professional, courteous, and committed to exceptional customer service.
We currently have open vacancies on:
*550/540 service ‘Late’ rota:*
* 550 operates between Liverpool and Birmingham (no London driving)
* 540 operates between Manchester and Milton Keynes (no London driving)
* Average 41.5 hours per week before overtime (with meal allowance, effective weekly average payable hours of 46.0)
* £10 tax free meal allowance payable on all duties
* Earliest start time – 14:15
* Latest finish time – 03:00
* 5 on/3 off working pattern
*170/423/421 service ‘Night’ rota:*
* 170 operates between Liverpool and Leeds
* 423/421 operates between Liverpool and Birmingham (no London driving)
* Average 40.5 hours per week before overtime (with meal allowance, effective weekly average payable hours of 43.5)
* £10 tax free meal allowance payable on some duties
* Earliest start time – 00:00
* Latest finish time – 10:30
* Three rest days in most weeks, with at least two in others

*You must meet the following essential criteria:*
* A full, UK PCV (Category D) Licence
* At least 12 month’s driving experience.
* A valid Digital Tachograph card (not essential at application stage, but must have one prior to start on duty)
* A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
* A maximum of 6 penalty points
* No unspent criminal convictions
* Rates of pay until 30th June 2025 are Mon-Fri £15.13 (night rate £16.63) Sat-Sun £16.38 (night rate £17.88)
