The Successful Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Commercial Vehicles Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on commercial vehicles, electric drives, automatic transmission, and similar electro-mechanical systems.
The Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Commercial Vehicles Engineer will ideally have an electrical engineering background in electric drives, electric vehicles, variable speed drives, high voltage vehicle systems, power transmission, electric motors, gearboxes, gear units, control systems and or similar electro-mechanical products and systems.

Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Commercial Vehicles Engineer Role
- To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on commercial vehicles, electric drives, automatic transmission, and similar electro-mechanical systems at customer sites across the Southwest of the UK
- Provide technical support and advice to sales department when appropriate.
- Manage, monitor, and control stock levels.
- Carry out system overhauls, and major unit exchanges at customer sites across the Southwest.
- Complete Engineering reports in a timely manner
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Commercial Vehicles Engineer Requirements
- Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical engineering systems.
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Commercial Vehicle Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar.
- The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
- Good working knowledge of electric drives, zero emission vehicles, and control systems
- Field servicing background in electric drives, electric vehicles, variable speed drives, high voltage vehicle systems, power transmission, electric motors, gearboxes, gear units, control systems and or similar electro-mechanical products and systems.
- Apprenticed trained within an Electrical / Mechanical Engineer discipline.
- A Level 5 Engineering Qualification is desirable.
- Homebased, willing to travel.
