Smile Education is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Criminology Specialist to join one of our partner schools in Worcester. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with expertise in criminology to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with students in a dynamic educational environment.

Role Overview: As a Criminology Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and informative lessons to students, fostering their interest in criminology and related subjects. Whether as a class tutor, lecturer, or cover supervisor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in criminology, covering a range of topics and concepts.
• Engage students through interactive teaching methods and real-world examples to enhance their understanding and critical thinking skills.
• Provide support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and assessments that align with educational standards and objectives.
• Fulfil the role of class tutor or cover supervisor as needed, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of regular classroom teachers.
• Utilise innovative teaching techniques and technology to enhance the learning experience for students.

Requirements:

• A passion for criminology and a desire to inspire students in the subject.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring in criminology or related fields is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability to fulfil different teaching roles within the school environment.
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is NOT required for this position, but relevant experience and expertise in criminology are essential.
