School Administrator
Smile Education is collaborating with a Secondary school in Birmingham to find a passionate School Administrator for their team starting in February. The school are a community school who are dedicated to being inclusive. They have strong beliefs that every child deserves the best education possible, and they are centred around supporting their children through core values of being respectful & responsible. They have a focus on helping their local community and focus on high standards of learning & commitment. The school work closely with all staff and families to ensure the students are at the heart of what they do at all times.
You will be using SIMS, CMIS, Parent Pay and similar systems on a daily basis. You will be expected to be a port of call for all Parents and to provide a first-class reception service and assist with all school visitors and enquiries. You will ensure internal and external mail is dealt with efficiently. You will need to answer phone enquiries, receive deliveries, including signed for exam papers and deal with accordingly as well as with outgoing post, including use and maintenance of the franking machine. This role has the potential to be permanent for the right candiate.
Responsibilities:
- Previous experience working as an administrator.
- Communticating with staff and parents.
- Ability to work well both in a team and individually.
- Ability to use a schools database.
- Proficiency using word/excel etc.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Previous work as a school Admin would be nice but previous Admin experience is essential.
- A bachelor’s degree (or similar) in business, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for administrating and working within a school
