Yorkshire Community Healthcare is seeking an experienced Care and Support Worker to provide 1-1 support to a gentleman with sight impairment, epilepsy, and an undiagnosed brain injury. Job Description:Care and Support Worker
Location: Malton, York (YO17 9HE)
Malton is a very easy commute from the following locations: Norton, Swinton, Broughton, Pickering, Wykeham, Scarborough and other surrounding areas.
Shift patterns: Wednesday-Saturday, 9am-5pm. 32 hours per week
Salary: £30k-£31k

About the role
We are recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Community Healthcare who are looking for experienced Support Workers to provide 1-1 support to a gentleman, who has a sight impairment, epilepsy and undiagnosed hypoxic brain injury. This gentleman relies heavily on assistive technology and will require support with meal preparations, shopping, household tasks, community access and social activities.
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK
A minimum of 6-months UK based healthcare experience is essential
Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills
Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere
UK valid driving licence, access to reliable car, business insurance and happy to transport the client in your car
Note: All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
