Job Description:
Falkirk Council is a dynamic local government, committed to providing excellent services to our community. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of the fleet.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications/skills:
- Proven experience as a Fleet Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- SVQ Level 4 or equivalent
- Time serve Apprenticeship in Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
