Kier Group is seeking a Plumber/Surveyor to join their Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team in Bodmin, Cornwall. The role involves working on the South West Water contract, providing repairs and maintenance services for drinking water and wastewater systems. Responsibilities include installing internal meters, carrying out metering surveys, and ensuring work is carried out to specification. The ideal candidate will have EUSR Water Hygiene and NRSWA Operative tickets, Cat & Genny training, and a full driving license. Job Description:Plumber

We’re looking for a Plumber/ Surveyor to join our our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks – Southwest Water team in Bodmin.

Location: Bodmin 

Contract: Permanent- Full Time

Our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks division brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected. In this role you will be working on our South West Water contract, where we work on repairs and maintenance services to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality drinking water and wastewater services.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Plumber/ Surveyor, you’ll be working within the South West Water contract, supporting them by working to a schedule of appointments, ensuring safety of site, self and colleagues, quality of work and production with a focus on accurate detail and installing of internal meters on the clean water network.

Wondering what the day to day in this role looks like?

Your day to day will include:

  • Carry out and complete internal meter exchanges and new installs.
  • Undertaking metering surveys and external meter exchanges  
  • Ensure wastage of materials is kept to a minimum
  • Ensure work is carried out to specification and defect free

This role of Plumber/ Surveyor is great for you if you hold:

  • EUSR Water Hygiene & NRSWA Operative tickets
  • Cat & Genny Trained
  • A Full Driving Licence
