Sheridan Maine is partnering with a tech start-up to find a part-time Finance Assistant. The role offers the flexibility of working from home three days a week and requires travel to Bristol for collaboration with the Financial Controller. Responsibilities include processing invoices, generating sales invoices, bank account postings and reconciliations, payroll report preparation, and supporting the financial controller with various tasks. The ideal candidate will have a full or part AAT qualification, previous experience in a Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper role, excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, and proficiency with G Suite applications and MS Office Suite. The salary is £25k FTE.

Sheridan Maine is partnering with a forward-thinking company in the tech industry to find a part-time Finance Assistant who can thrive in a remote-first work environment. This role offers the flexibility of working from home three days a week, with travel to Bristol for collaboration with the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities of the successful Finance Assistant will include:
- Processing invoices and ensuring they are matched, batched and coded correctly.
- Generating sales invoices for approval.
- Bank account postings and reconciliations.
- Preparation of payroll reports for approval.
- Management of the pension portal.
- Generating and maintaining supporting schedules for the monthly management accounts.
- Supporting the financial controller with weekly reporting and other ad hoc tasks.
To be considered for the position of Finance Assistant, you will require the following competencies:
- Full or part AAT qualification is preferred.
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant/ Bookkeeper role.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Tech-savvy with a willingness to adapt to new tools and technologies. Proficiency with G Suite applications, MS Office Suite and other office productivity tools.
