A Coventry-based company is seeking a Senior CNC Miller with experience in precision machining for the aerospace industry. The role involves setting up and operating machines, interpreting drawings and digital files, producing prototypes, and inspecting work. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace, be competent in Heidenhain controls and programming, and be able to work with a wide range of materials. Immediate starts are available, and the company welcomes site visits to ensure a good fit. Job Description:

Job Title: SENIOR CNC MILLER
Location: Coventry
Salary: £32,000 – £36,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 7:30am to 4:30pm
Friday – 7:30am to 12:30pm

Our Coventry based client are a supplier to the aerospace and defence industries for over 40 years, specialising in producing precision components. They work with a range of materials including brass, aluminium, mild and chromium steels to Inconel and stainless steels.

As an Experienced CNC Miller, duties will include:
⦁ setting, and operating machines
⦁ Interpretation of drawings and 3D digital files
⦁ Produce prototypes / small production runs
⦁ Carry out inspection of your work (CMM and Manual)
⦁ Maintain clean and tidy stations
⦁ Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications.
⦁ Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork.

Experience Required
⦁ Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
⦁ Aerospace experience
⦁ Competent in heidenhain controls and programming
⦁ Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
⦁ Able to prove unproven programs, safely
⦁ Conversant with Mikron and/or YCM and/or Bridgeport machinery (Preferable)
⦁ CAM experience (Preferable)
⦁ Working to tight tolerances
⦁ Experience of working with a wide range of materials including mild steels, brass, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, super duplex etc.
⦁ Team Player
⦁ Flexible
