Job Description:We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Solihull. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining our IT infrastructure. If you have experience with O365, Active Directory, building laptops, DHCP, DNS, ticketing systems, and Linux, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient 2nd Line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
  • Utilise your expertise in O365 and Active Directory to manage user accounts, permissions, and troubleshoot related problems.
  • Build and configure laptops, ensuring they meet organisational standards and user requirements.
  • Manage DHCP and DNS configurations for optimal network performance.
  • Utilise ticketing systems to log, prioritise, and resolve user issues within established SLAs.
  • Provide Linux support and troubleshoot Linux-related issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support role.
  • Proficient in O365 administration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, including user account management and permissions.
  • Experience in building and configuring laptops to meet organisational standards.
  • Competence in DHCP and DNS management.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution.
  • Linux support and troubleshooting skills.
