Catering Assistant

A facilities company that provides catering services to schools in the UK is seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to join their team in Wolverhampton. The role is term-time only and permanent, with a salary of £11 per hour. The Catering Assistant will support the chef and chef manager in serving meals, assist in ingredient preparation, clean the kitchen and dining area, and wash dishes. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in catering roles, be reliable and willing to learn, and have Food Hygiene certification. A DBS check is also required for this role.

Job Type: Term-time only, Permanent. 

Location: Wolverhampton WV6 

Salary: £11ph,  

Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday,  

Your role as a Catering Assistant will involve: 

• Supporting the chef and chef manager in serving healthy and hearty meals for the students. 
• Assisting in the preparation of ingredients to be used in the cooking process. 
• Cleaning the kitchen area and dining area to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. 
• Washing up plates and cutlery. 

Our ideal Catering Assistant will: 

• Have previous experience in the role or other catering roles. 
• A reliable individual with a willingness to learn and grow. 
• Have Food Hygiene certification
