Job Description:Senior Controls Engineer required to join the Programme Management team within a leading manufacturer of sophisticated vacuum products, exhaust management systems and related value-added services based in Clevedon, BS21

• Up to £47,600 per annum, depending on experience
• 37.5 hours per week
• 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays

About the job

• Writing control and visualization software for new products being developed on site
• Improvement of software development processes and techniques
• Review specifications created by others
• Contributes to the preparation of test documents and advises on appropriate test methodologies.
• Creates supporting documentation for software release and installation.
• Provides technical content for manuals, build notes and service instructions.
• Performs tests and provides expert level support to factory and field issues.
• PLC programming – ladder logic, structured text, functions blocks, data structures

 The right candidate

• HND (or equivalent) or degree in a relevant technical discipline, preferably in a controls or software discipline
• Minimum of 5 years working in controls and software within relevant industries
• Prior experience with compiling software, HMI programming using or other high level languages and communications protocols – Modbus, EdCentra XML
• Understanding of P&I Diagrams and electrical schematics
