General Manager – Flagship Site – £42,000+Bonus

About the company:

I’m currently working with a unique and expanding restaurant group and we are looking for an ambitious and talented General Manager to join the team. All sites are performing really well. We are looking for a dynamic leader, someone who has a deep understanding of all restaurant operations, someone who can cope well under pressure and has a hands-on approach to management with a great focus on training and development of their team.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, delegate and resolve issues as required to run the restaurant
• Take responsibility for all new FOH team members and ensure induction, training procedures and are adhered to
• Ensure all team members meet employment criteria
• Manage, support, motivate and monitor progress with team including quarterly appraisals
• Encourage and praise team members on good performance
• Follow up on poor performance and follow company performance management and disciplinary process if required
• Maintain a good working relationship with all team members
• Ensure effective daily communication with the Head Chef & kitchen team
• Deliver daily and monthly report sheets as requested by management
• Carry out any extra duties as requested by senior management
• Continually strive to achieve personal goals and objectives
• Constantly challenging staff to better their product knowledge and service standards
