For this position it is essential that you have a background in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge. Ideally your experience will be in community base settings, such as supported living and/or residential care. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be an advantage.
You will play a pivotal role in providing person-centred support for adults with complex behavioural needs and communication difficulties in achieving their goals. You will be supporting people to develop essential life skills and independence.

As a key team player your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred support.
- Collaborating with the people we support to create and implement tailored support plans.
- Assisting the people we support to develop essential life skills such as cooking, personal hygiene, budgeting, and household management.
- Supporting with medication, medical appointments, and maintaining good quality health and well-being.
- Supporting with community activities and enabling the people we support to engage in social events, access local services, and build meaningful relationships.
- Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and interventions to promote positive outcomes and reduce behaviours that challenge.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive care records, documenting progress, incidents, and outcomes as required.
- Working closely with your colleagues, families, external professionals, and other agencies to ensure holistic care for the people we support.
Hours :
- We provide support on a 24/7 basis with staffing ratios of 1:1 and 2:1 support.
- You will be expected to support on a rotational basis working 12-hour and 15-hour shifts.
- This will include every other weekend with sleep-in duties also available.
£ 16.00 PH
