Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer required to join a leading service provider of mechanical engineering solutions.
 
The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer will provide mechanical and electrical repair, service, maintenance and commissioning on various pumps systems, valves, actuators, pipework, hydraulics and associated clean & wastewater products.

 
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer will ideally have a background in mechanical engineering and experience working with water treatment products predominantly within pumps.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer Role
To provide mechanical and electrical repair, service, maintenance and commissioning on pump stations, penstocks, valves, pipeline tanks, guiderails, hydraulic actuators & ancillary fittings.
Designing, manufacturing, fabrication and servicing water and wastewater products.
Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various pump and fluid power systems.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Step in an act as a site supervisor when it’s needed.
Working in confined spaces or at hight.
Build and maintains good working relationships with clients, fellow colleagues and higher management
Home-based reporting to an office in Burnley.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer Requirements
Proven diagnostic skills with mechanical engineering products such as pumps, valves, actuators, pipework, tankers for both clean and wastewater applications.
Would have come from a Pump engineer, Service Engineer, Commissioning engineer, Fitter, Field Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Remote Service Engineer, or something similar.
experience/qualifications in Civil, Hydraulic, electrical, oil, gas, chemical or mechanical design engineering or someone apprentice trained would be greatly considered.
A focus on career development, with opportunities to grow into leadership positions.
Analyse and solve engineering problems and further develop solutions to overcome potential issues that arise.
Commutable to Burnley, so living in the surrounding areas such as Bradford, Blackburn, Harrogate, Preston or Manchester.
Full UK driving license, willingness to travel to the site in Burnley and adaptable to work away when needed.
