Operations and Stock Manager

Hours full time Monday to Friday 9 am-5pm

Type of candidate:
You will be in a similar role and will be looking for a sideways step or you will be in a more junior role in a bigger team and looking to step into a more senior role.
Role Overview:
The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the daily operations at Esska Shoes. Reporting directly to the Joint Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing various operational tasks, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards across all functions.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:-
Warehouse Management:
- Oversee the pick, pack, and warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes and systems.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory control.
Order and Delivery Management:
- Coordinate and manage orders and deliveries from factories.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to streamline the supply chain.
Stock Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
- Implement inventory management strategies to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels and forecast future needs to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular health and safety audits and risk assessments.
- Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
Systems Integration:
- Ensure all operational systems are integrated and functioning correctly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline operational systems.
Office management:
- Manage the day-to-day needs of the office.
- Maintain stock levels of consumables required for the effective running of operations.
Other:
- Effectively manage direct reports
- Manage initial escalations from the customer service team
Qualifications/skills:
- Proven experience in an operations management role, preferably within the retail or footwear industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in using operational and inventory management systems.
- Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel
- A working knowledge of Shopify
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
