36Job Description:This is a unique and vital role within Thames Water allowing you to have complete control over your day-to-day work.
You will be visiting Wastewater treatment works and trade Effluent Customers. This is to ensure the standard of wastewater is always to the best standards possible and meets MCerts regulations and international standards.
What you’ll be doing as a Waste Samples Technician
- You will take part in an out-of-hours roster which includes weekends working on a rotation. Your work schedule will be 07:30-15:30 Monday to Friday, and an additional 1 weekend in 7 weeks
- This role involves extensive travel between sites across a wide geographical area.
- It will be your responsibility to test water samples, and you’ll oversee managing the maintenance of your sampling records and sampling equipment to industry standard.
- You may also raising safety observations in case issues are found.
What you should bring to the role
- Driving experience as part of the previous job
- Have existing knowledge or be open to learning about the water industry and processes relevant to this area of work
- Good computer literacy
- Manual UK Driving License
