111Job Description:The main function of the Health, Safety, and Well-being Advisor is to oversee the health, safety, and well-being of all facilities, including office buildings, laboratories, and other company premises. This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and well-being policies and programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and to promote a culture of safety and well-being across our engineering and assets, retail developer services, and group functions.
What you’ll be doing as a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor:
- Oversee health, safety, and well-being for company main office facilities, including office buildings and laboratories. Ensure all facilities comply with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and well-being policies and procedures and ensure all policies are in compliance with current legislation and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments for all areas, including engineering, assets, retail services, and group functions. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Perform safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Design and deliver training programs on health, safety, and well-being for all employees.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, providing reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to promote well-being initiatives and improve employee health and morale.
- Prepare and present reports on health, safety, and well-being performance to senior management.
- Integrate safety and well-being practices into all operations and provide expert advice and support.
What you should bring to the role:
- Experience in managing safety for diverse facilities, including office buildings and laboratories.
- Professional certification: Nebosh Diploma or NVQ level 5, IOSH or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Full UK driving licence
